History
History of EKOL-UNICON finds its origin in PUH „Ekol” Ltd. which was established on 16th December 1988.
Implementation of wastewater treatment plants (designing and construction) based on own technologies and applied solutions of western companies was the main activity of „Ekol”. The company also made technical documentations concerning sewage and wastes management, phisyco – chemical and bacteriological analyses. It also advised in environmental protection matters.
„Ekol” became famous from being an expert in construction and implementation of hydrophytes designs to treat sewage, surface waters, rain waters and processing of sewage sludge. Introduction of lamella separators to Polish market caused a dynamic development of the company at the beginning of 90ties. Since then „Ekol” introduced many other products to the market, e.g. grease separators, coalescence separators, waste water treatment plants. A strong position on Polish market was a basis to start long-term co-operation with Unicon from Denmark by creating a new company called Ekol-Unicon, where Ekol was the owner of 51% of shares and Unicon - 49%. Mr. Wojciech Falkowski has always been the single representative of the company’s Board since the beginning.

21.06.1996 - foundation of the company

14.07.1996 - beginning of economic activity

1997 - beginning of own separators production in Gdańsk. Foundation of the first branch offices in Kraków and Wroc³aw

1999 - 1000 separators were sold – that was the confirmation of the leader’s position in the market of separators

2000 - implementation of the biggest waste water treatment plant for rain waters in P³ock of a capacity = 5 m3/s;

2001 - Concrete Prefabricates Production Plant was opened in £ód¼. This investment made the company superior to its competition and made the introduction of new products possible

2002 - The company took part in implementation of many important investments, including deliveries of products to newly constructed highways (A2, A4). The agreement concluded with American Environment21 provided a new product – V2B1 swirl settlers

2003 - Concrete Prefabricates Production Plant was opened in Gdańsk. It strengthened the company’s position in the market.

2004 - the new department in the company was established - General Construction. It was based on design office and it filled company’s portfolio with complete realization of investment (design – delivery – construction)

2005 - basing on own designs the first heavy oil treatment plant was implemented in „Kogeneracja” S.A. - Power and Heat plant in Wroc³aw. It was one of the best years in company’s history (turnover and profitability)

2006 - constant development of the company. 6000th separator was sold in October. The organizational chart was modified. The third Concrete Prefabricates Production Plant was being constructed in Ruda ¦l±ska.
